Missing my 5000 inventory items

Oh what a day it was, just over a week ago, when I logged in and noticed
that the folder with all my outfits, extra clothing, costumes, landscaping, houses
…well you get the idea…missing.

Spent the better part of 3 days doing all the work arounds that the awesome people at
Firestorm and LL had me do to no avail.

Now what do you do when some of the things you lost are no copy Gacha items, houses
created by someone who is no longer in SL?

I could have cried, I was really upset, and got what I could from the casper vend system
replaced. Some was sent after notecards were sent to the creators and then I shopped.
Just a wee bit so far.
Mostly landscaping items and such, no clothing..yet.

Hard to replace some of the outfits that I have had for a couple of years and still
trying to decide what I want to wear. I am hopefully going to find some new things
and add to what I already had in a separate folder under my Clothing folder.

My sorting into separate numbered folders, 1 thru 26, and putting outfits under those, as well as houses, costumes and such, was a long involved process. Thought it would be nice to have a bit of organization to my inventory. Boy, was I upset to find that folder the only one missing, all 5000 of those.

Thankfully, I had thought to move my shirts, jeans, shoes, and gowns, up into that clothing folder. I still have formal wear. And all my body parts, skins and hair..still there.

As for the devastation I felt over losing some of the things, James happily chipped in and got me a cheesy pizza with green olives, bacon and sausage to drown my sorrows in…he enjoyed a couple of the slices too.

Now, I anxiously await the next big Gacha event, and some “retail therapy” when and if I feel like doing
some shopping. I love shopping but the decisions are hard…so I sought out my favorite designers, Black Haus White Market and Piece of Mind Designs for some replacements. Got a couple of things at Dressed by Lexi and Sascha’s and of course Liv Glam, and I am good for now.

James couldn’t have been sweeter about it, he even thought I handled it quite well, all things considered.

As for the lost items, they are just things. In the process, we did get our real life “study” set up finally with our desks side by side..which I love.

Thanks to James for being my shoulder and my love. I look forward to many years together in both worlds…we even had some “date time” tonight as I write this.

Word to the wise, don’t put everything in one place but if you do, be able to go through the loss if
it should happen. And in this world of SL , anything can and does happen

Buy & Sell your Mining Items!

Buy & Sell your Mining Items!.

Re blogging this one!
Thank you Dwarfins Team ☺
This is a huge thing for those of us that have been mining like mad to get things
for creating houses and interactives.
If you haven’t seen what the Dwarfins team has out, now is a great time
for you to pop on over to the sim and get started.
They have a great build, Gem hunt for those avatar parts
as well as some nice group gifts.

Cafe Tram

Cafe Tram

I have tried Gacha machines and been searching all over SL for this Tram.
I feel in love with it many months ago and finally found one that was
within my budget.
It is located on our home sim Baylee Estates a bit of
a stroll from the landing point, but open to anyone who wants to visit.
We have a greedy table out, and there is a
snack type cafe that our daughter has built with ice cream and such ☺

Visit us anytime you would like, we love company and our Dwarfins are always
up to something fun!

Sort of reminds me of Red Rocks.

Sort of reminds me of Red Rocks.

This is the SL11B DJ Stage.
I will be playing a mix on Friday, June 27th this year,10-12 slt.

I am always excited to play for people and hope that I bring a good mix
whenever I have a set.

Love music of all kinds, play almost anything and do take requests depending
on the time involved and such.

Hope that everyone gets a chance to check out the birthday celebration this year
as I will be doing the same.

Lots of gifts and free stuff and even a SL11B Hunt of sorts going on.
More later.

Aroonshire Grand Opening.

It was my honor to be asked to DJ for the Grand Opening party on Monday May 26, 2014.

Having taken a break from playing my music except for a few private functions and

for ourselves, this was my first “outting” in almost a year.

The place is beautiful, if you haven’t seen it, be sure to go and check it out.

I love Dwarfins and everything involved. This market has taken it to the next level with it’s museum and all the beautiful parts of the Castle that was from Fantasy Faire 2014.  Jaimy Hancroft is the builder and it was sold to the current owners.

Can’t think of a better group of people to be in control of what happens to it.

They have rentals, displays of the LE Dwarfins and a 5pm slt auction every Monday with Neck as the auctioneer.  She rocks!

So, I am now hoping to find some “gigs” again. Not wanting to go back into a club filled with lots of drama, I will be

pretty open but selective and hope to be out there again off and on.

You can contact me via a note card if you are looking for a DJ.  I can play about anything you ask for. Just have a few

things I prefer not to play…we can always discuss that later.

Check out the beautiful build at the URL below.

Inventoil Made Easier

If you haven’t seen this before, it’s well worth the read. I started doing some of my hunt gifts today and it is so easy. Now to get the Bright inventory boxes and do more.

Inventoil Made easy

“There’s never enough of the stuff you can’t get enough of.” ~ Patrick H.T. Doyle

Inventoil Made easy

A few years ago I introduced the word “inventoil” to the world, which was my word for going through my inventory and sorting things. At the time my inventory was almost manageable. I knew what I had and where it might be. That ended a couple years ago when boxes exploded with fatpacks of fatpacks, and I started joining events to blog. And oh, well, I shop a lot too. Pfff.

StarlightShining clued me into a fancy trick in Firestorm that is going to revolutionize your inventory, especially if you have a hoarding problem as I do. And I’m going to teach you how to do it. The bottom line is that you are going to be able to pack massive amounts of stuff into a package without manually moving it. It’s kind…
